Concept art implies that players would have the ability to customize their living space and earn and spend money, among other unclear mechanics. It is unclear if the player would take the role of a player character, or if they would be playing as the cast themselves, or to what end. One such proposed new title would be a free-to-play, more linear game set a few years after the original game where the main cast has since graduated high school and most, if not all, would now be living independently, and some as roommates. The developers have expressed an interest in branching out into the mobile market, either with a port of the original Monster Prom or with a new title that specifically caters to the mobile gaming experience. Unreleasedīeautiful Glitch has many ideas for games and products set within the Monster Prom universe that, for one reason or another, may or may not ever be published. One player will be the contestant (the judge) and other players will be the suitors, effectively "building" the perfect suitor out of "concept" cards and pitching around them in a silly/witty way. Later tentatively renamed to Monster Dating, the idea for the game is to to mimic dating game shows where a contestant had to choose between different suitors. A possible game mode would have involved players drawing "Monster Cards" and then having to further adapt their chosen "Ideas Card" to accurately include the drawn character as if they were roleplaying. Īlternatively, the game would have used "Monster Cards" containing a description explaining the depicted character (which would be useful for players unfamiliar with them if they are involved in an "Event Card"). The judge would select a winner based on a criteria of their choice (how fun the idea is, how smart it is, etc.). In turn, they would have a set amount of time to present a way to resolve the chosen conflict using the selected idea.
Each player then provides "Idea Cards", introducing a concept for players to use. The first idea for its mechanics mimicked the mechanics of the original game: players would draw several "Event Cards", each with characters, a setup, and a conflict, and choose one. This video game will return to the series' roots in more ways than one: another competitive multiplayer dating simulator, once again set in Spooky High, where this time players will play as four of the original romance options attempting to romance the four original player characters.įirst tentatively titled Monster Misadventures, this is a physical card game in the same party style of Cards Against Humanity and creativity/narrative style of Story Wars, intended to be more of a simpler and standalone product so that even those unfamiliar with the established Monster Prom universe and cast can enjoy it.

Monster Memories will include three games, which will differ significantly from the original dating simulator genre while retaining the series' iconic and staple brand of wacky, dark humor. Monster Camp was originally intended to be part of this bundle, but it quickly grew too large on scope, and it was decided to be made a standalone, full-scale title instead. The next few video games are to be considerably smaller than the first, and bundled together as a collection titled Monster Memories. The following installments are those whose Kickstarter goals were successfully met, thus ensuring Beautiful Glitch would have the funding necessary to follow through with these ideas. The mechanics and goal of the game are nearly identical: players are campers at Camp Spooky looking to find love in time for a meteor shower.Īfter the success of the original game, Beautiful Glitch began a Kickstarter to crowdfund more games set in the same universe.
